Community Picnic Cancelled

Good Evening Emmaus Community,

With heavy hearts, the Keystone Emmaus Board of Directors has decided to cancel the Community Picnic scheduled to be held at Little Buffalo State Park on July 18, 2020.  This decision was not made lightly, but we feel that it is in the best interest and safety of everyone.

Please continue to pray for our community, our nation and COVID.

Prayer Wheel Sign-up

Community member, Al Heimbach, had a great idea to use the 72 hours dedicated to the originally scheduled Men’s Weekend to pray for the current pandemic. We are asking the community members to sign up on the below prayer wheel. As a community, let’s come together to pray for our nation, the world and God’s healing with the COVID virus.
To sign up, please use the below link:

Also, the Spring Men’s and Women’s walks have been rescheduled. The new dates are:

Men’s Walk – October 1, 2020 – October 4, 2020

Women’s Walk – October 22, 2020 – October 25, 2020

All Upcoming Walks and Gatherings have been cancelled

For the safety of our community, the Keystone Emmaus Community Board of Directors has decided to cancel the upcoming Walks, gatherings,  and all Emmaus activities that are conducted under the direction of the Keystone Emmaus Community Board of directors.  Re-union groups and other activities related to Keystone Emmaus, but not organized and conducted by the board are asked to follow the recommendations of Upper Room Ministries, the Center for Disease Control, as well as all respective governmental entities (Federal, State, & Municipal).

Recommendations for small re-union groups that decide to gather:

Ø Contact the facility to ensure that holding a re-union group meeting is welcome.   Be aware that many churches are closing for a period of time during this health crisis.

Ø  Be aware of and follow all applicable recommendations from governmental agencies.

The Keystone Emmaus Community Board of Directors will be reviewing alternative dates for the cancelled Walks and will re-assess the Covid-19 situation to determine the viability of re-activating future Emmaus events.  The web site will be the primary point of communication and the board recommends that folks subscribe to receive notifications from the website to receive updated information.

By all means let us pray and remain in contact with one another via phone and other social media.  God’s church, His community of the faithful, is the hope of the world.  Let us participate in conveying that hope to all we can to let folks know that we are not alone, that God is with us, and God will see us through this time of trial.
